Makhmud Muradov is the first Uzbekistani fighter in the UFC and can climb to 2-0 in the octagon with a win at UFC Washington D.C. Saturday, 12/7. The middleweight made his debut with the company on short notice in September on the Denmark card. He triumphed over seasoned vet Alessio Di Chirico (12-3) with a convincing unanimous decision showing off his striking potential.
Muradov embarked on his MMA quest in 2012, raking up 21 wins on the Eastern European MMA circuit. Saturday’s action in the U.S. capital of Washington D.C. marks his first fight in America, though he already has fighting ties here…
Fours years ago, Makhmud met Floyd Mayweather after a fight in Prague and subsequently became The Money Team’s first MMA fighter signed to the agency. Mayweather’s backing tells you just how good Muradov’s stand up is, combining creativity and movement with lethal KO power.
Makhmud Muradov currently finds himself on a 12-fight win streak heading into Saturday, December 7th. Trevor “Hot Sauce” Smith (15-9) will be standing in his path and with 10 UFC fights under his belt, he’ll surely have a smart gameplan to stop “Mach” in his tracks. It all goes down on the UFC Washington D.C. prelims starting at 5:45 ET!
Makhmud “Mach” Muradov | 23-6 | 6’2 185 lbs. | Age 29 | Reach 75” | Orthodox Stance | Fighting Out of Prague, Czech Republic
