15th Ranked Bantamweight Ricky Simón aims to snipe a true MMA legend Saturday, July 13th at UFC Sacramento. The wrestler from The Pacific Northwest can become a household name with a win over Uriah Faber (34-10), a pioneer in the California MMA scene and former WEC Featherweight Champ.
Simón can extend his win streak to nine with a victory over Faber Saturday night. His strong wrestling base makes him hard to control. He’s adept at using his grappling to escape pressure situations on the feet. Ricky is an explosive athlete, his striking speed and technique are catching up to his wrestling quickly. With only three KO’s in 16 fights, Simón knows he’s not a knockout artist and instead uses striking to set up his ground game.
