One to Watch at UFC 245: Chase Hooper

Chase “The Dream” Hooper faces the biggest challenge of his young career at UFC 245. This Saturday, Hooper has the potential to earn a decisive victory and become the UFC’s next star.

The long and lanky 20-year-old hails from the rainiest city in America: Enumclaw, Washington. Lucky for him, the mats are indoors and Chase has found his bread and butter with BJJ. He’s already a black belt so young and his opponents will show you how great his ground game is.

Hooper utilizes a wide array of kicks to keep distance and loves his right, left 1-2 from the southpaw stance. His grappling is aggressive, attacking for submissions constantly from top or bottom. His length combined with incredible flexibility allows him to surprise opponents with unorthodox attacks.

Chase Hooper earned a developmental contract from the UFC after a tough unanimous decision win in Dana White’s Contender Series. After a draw then two straight finishes, Hooper now finds himself on the doorstep of the real deal. He will fight kickboxer Daniel Teymur (7-3) this Saturday, 12/13, at UFC 245!
