Rodolfo Viera debuts at UFC Uruguay on August 10th, he’s the most accomplished Jiu-Jitsu player to enter MMA since Roger Gracie. “The Black Belt Hunter” is a five-time IBJJF World Champion and has an ADCC Submission Wrestling Gold Medal to boot.
Viera transitioned to full combat in 2017 and looks like a natural already just two years into striking. The 185’er from Rio de Janeiro started his career at Light Heavyweight and secured three straight finishes, two submissions and a TKO from ground and pound.
He cut down 20 pounds and is getting even better results. His most recent fight was a thoroughly impressive first-round rear-naked choke over highly touted prospect Vitaly Nemchinov (then 10-0).
“The Black Belt Hunter” now trains out of Fusion X-Cel, another Florida camp gaining attention for their results. Training partner “Jacare” Souza has Viera prepared for his UFC debut Saturday. He fights Oskar Piechota (11-1-1) at UFC Uruguay!
