One to Watch at UFC San Diego: Yazmin Jauregui

Yazmin Jauregui (8-0) began martial arts because she was bullied as a child. Now she’s an undefeated UFC fighter at just 23 years old. She was born in Guadalajara, Jalisco, Mexico in 1999. She now trains out of Mexico’s most prominent camp, Entram Gym, in Tijuana, Baja.

Jauregui rounded out her young pro career outside the UFC by winning three fights in one night to win Combate Global’s Strawweight tournament. Now she’s got a main card debut on her hands versus fellow newcomer Iasmin Lucindo (13-4). It all goes down close to home for Yazmin, in San Diego and the main card begins at 7 PM ET.
