One to Watch at UFC Singapore: Ciryl Gane

Ciryl Gane (4-0) could find a rank next to his name with another round one finish in the octagon this Saturday at UFC Singapore. “Bon Gamin” aims to follow the big footsteps of his training partner, Francis Ngannou, en route to heavyweight contention!

Ciryl Gane opted for Muay Thai early in his fighting career, winning two French championships. He carried his striking skill and freak athleticism to the cage where he looked for a new challenge in MMA.

Ciryl teamed up with famed Paris based camp MMA Factory with countless champions across many fighting disciplines. Gane took his first MMA bout in 2018 and French promotion TKO MMA threw him straight into the fire immediately.

Ciryl Gane challenged for the Heavyweight title in his first fight and came out with a first-round submission and a belt around his waist. Gane showed fans his takedown defense, stuffing a shot then working for the tap out shortly after. As he progresses through the UFC ranks it will be intriguing to see how he handles expert grappling.

With one UFC win already on his record, Ciryl Gane might have an easy path to a ranking at 265. The French Hulk possesses size, swift movement, and skill, a rare combination at Heavyweight. He creates mismatches with his unorthodox striking and speed. “Bon Gamin” attacks from all angles with kicks, knees, and punches, he even throws in wrinkles like double punches and lunging hammerfists.

Ciryl Gane will look to build on his UFC resume at UFC Singapore with a win over Dontale Mayes (7-2). This fight is on the main card, starting at 8 AM ET Saturday, 10/26. Get your coffee ready!
