One to Watch at UFC Vancouver: Jim “The Brute” Crute

Jim “The Brute” Crute (10-0) can become a top 15 Light Heavyweight in the UFC with a fourth straight win at UFC Vancouver, September 14th. The Aussie from Melbourne has taken the UFC ranks by storm, two impressive victories over vets Paul Craig and Sam Alvey. Now “The Brute” will take a big step up in competition at UFC Vancouver, facing #15 Misha Cirkunov (14-5).

Crute began his MMA journey in 2016 after finding a great coach right in his backyard in Sam Greco. Now affiliated with Greco and Stewie’s House (best gym name in MMA?) Crute is now taking all names at 205 lbs.

Jim was found by Dana White to appear on his Contender Series after securing four first-round finishes in six fights. El Jefé appreciated the R1 KO and swiftly signed him to a contract.

“The Brute” has looked right at home in the octagon, first submitting BJJ artist Paul Craig in round 3, then knocking out Sam Alvey in just 3 minutes. With another brutalization, Crute can become a household name at 205. He meets Misha Cirkunov (14-5) in the great white north at UFC Vancouver!
