Julio Arce | 15-2 | 5’7 145 lbs. | Age 28 | Reach 71” | Southpaw Stance | Fighting Out Of Queens, NY
Born in Miami and now fighting out of Bayside, Queens, New York City, Julio Arce’s hands are putting the Featherweight division on notice. Arce was a 2011 Golden Gloves Boxing Champion and a world kickboxing champ before starting MMA training with the famed coach Tiger Schulman.
Julio turned pro in 2012 and won his first seven fights before losing to (now) UFC vet Brian Kelleher. Arce learned from those tough losses (R3 submission and majority Dec.) and embarked on another win streak lasting seven bouts. Before entering the UFC, Arce was the Ring of Combat Bantamweight and Featherweight Champ.
Julio Arce has only increased his pedigree since stepping into the octagon, he’s faced two highly touted prospects and dispatched both easily, outstriking them 2 to 1. He’s looking to crack the top 15 Featherweights with a win over 10-2 Sheymon Moraes at UFC 230 this Saturday, 11/3.
