Karl “Baby K” Roberson | 6-0 | 6’1 185 lbs. | Age 28 | Reach 74″ | Southpaw Stance
Undefeated at 6-0 with 5 first round finishes, Karl “Baby K” Roberson is looking like the real deal. He came to the octagon through Dana White’s Contender Series and made sure fans remembered him with a 15 second KO from some nasty elbows in the clinch. He backed that up with another convincing performance on his first official UFC card against Darren Stewart who was 7-1 at the time. He overpowered Stewart with his kickboxing (former Glory pro kickboxer) and judo tossed him to the ground, finding the opening for the rear-naked choke 3:41 into the first round.
Roberson has shown to be an all-around complete fighter, the only question is what weight class he’ll take aim at in the UFC. He’s split his 6 fights so far between Middleweight and Light Heavyweight, though his 2 most recent bouts including the one scheduled at UFC 224 are at Middleweight. He’ll look to establish 185 as his true weight class when he takes on Cezar Ferreira. A 3rd-degree black belt in Jiu-Jitsu, Ferreira (12-6) was raised by Vitor Belfort in the gym and is coming off a win against former UFC vet Nate Marquardt by Split Decision. Roberson will need to bring The Hulk Hands if he wants to finish the Brazilian at home in Rio de Janeiro at the Jeunesse Arena May 12th.
