Natan Levy (6-0) was born in Paris, France, grew up in Herzliya, Israel and now fights out of Las Vegas, Nevada. The 29-year-old globe trekker has kept martial arts a constant in his life and now he finds himself close to the pinnacle with a UFC debut on his horizon. Levy won a contract on Dana White’s Contender Series in 2020 on two-days notice. He was set to debut five months later at UFC Vegas 24 but an injury forced him out one week prior to the fight.
Fighting has been in Levy’s life since childhood. He followed his brothers to a Tae Kwon Do gym in Paris when he was four years old. When his parents divorced, Natan and his brothers had a choice to stay in Paris or move to Herzliya, Israel. While growing up in the large coastal city, he unfortunately had to utilize his skills at school because other kids would berate him for his different accent. At age 14, Natan began training full-time in Karate and Kung Fu and three years later he earned a black belt in Kung Fu.
At age 24, Natan Levy started his MMA career at the amateur level and still has never lost a bout in professional or amateur (10-0). After securing his fifth pro victory, the Israeli choked out his undefeated opponent on the Contender to become the third-ever and only active UFC fighter from Israel.
Natan was set for a debut against fellow intriguing prospect Austin “Thud” Hubbard (12-5). Sadly for us fight fans, Levy was forced to pull out a week before the fight due to injury. Looking forward to seeing him 100% because he’s definitely one to watch in the stacked Lightweight division.
