One to Watch at UFC 240: Giacomo Lemos

Update: Update: Giacomo Lemos is out of UFC 240 due to a failed drug test, substance unknown as of 7/26.

Undefeated Giacomo Lemos (6-0) will be the first Brazilian Viking ever to step into the Octagon, this weekend at UFC 240.  The heavyweight from Florianopolis, Brazil earned his moniker from his imposing frame, fair skin tone, and grizzly beard.

Lemos ventured from the world of Jiu-Jitsu and assimilated into the mixed martial arts game in 2016.  A late arrival to the sport at 27 years young, Giacomo let fellow fighters know his skills are seasoned, reeling off three quick finishes in three bouts.

Now 6 and 0 with all wins finished before the third round, “The Viking” has earned his UFC shot. His grappling skills have proven to be his biggest asset, ending five fights with ground and pound.  Lemos is set to face fellow Canadian Tyler “The Bulldozer” Boser (16-5-1) in Edmonton, Alberta Saturday, July 27th at UFC 240.
