Deron Winn | 5-0 | 5’6 185 lbs. | Age 30 | Reach 71” | Orthodox Stance | Fighting Out of San Jose, California

Undefeated Deron Winn has four first-round finishes in five wins. The 2016 Olympic wrestling alternate started MMA at 205 pounds but now moves down to 185 for his UFC debut. 5’6 on an absolutely great day, Winn will be the shortest UFC middleweight ever upon making his company debut Saturday in South Carolina.

Winn’s most recent MMA action came in November 2018 in a dominant three-round decision over UFC veteran “Filthy” Tom Lawlor (10-7).  The card that facilitated the bout was the famed Golden Boy Promotions’ ‘Liddell vs. Ortiz’ debacle, which overshadowed an impressive victory by Winn.  Lawlor hadn’t fought professionally in three years but came in with a huge experience advantage.  However, Winn looked unfazed by the man across the cage, piecing him up on the feet and dominating “Filthy” Tom on the mat.

Winn will now aim for six straight victories versus BJJ black belt Eric Spicely (12-4) who is making his return to the Octagon on short notice.
