One to Watch at UFC Fight Night: Hunt vs. Oleinik

Mairbek “Beckan” Taisumov | 26-5 | 5’9 155 lbs. | Age 30 | Reach 73” | Orthodox Stance |

The UFC ventures to Mother Russia for the first time in company history.   Mark “Super Samoan” Hunt vs. Alexey “The Boa Constrictor” Oleinik is the headliner for a card stacked with Russians and Eastern Europeans on Saturday, September 15, 2018, only on UFC Fight Pass at 10:30 AM ET.

Mairbek Taisumov is a stone-cold killer in the Lightweight Division with 5 knockouts in 7 UFC fights. You could say his all-around skills come courtesy of his all-world fight camp, splitting time between his hometown of Grozny, Chechnya, Austria, Thailand, and Turkey. His coach Roger Huerta says they are forced to bring in Light Heavyweights to spar with Chechnyan power puncher.

Taisumov’s heavy hands have slept two undefeated fighters in the octagon, Felipe Silva and Alan Patrick, and he’s coming off two straight first-round KO’s. He hasn’t fought in the US yet due to a VISA issue and he still can’t crack the top 15 at 155 lbs. Mairbek Taisumov will look to make it 6 KO’s in a row on Saturday, the 15th, against 21-7 Desmond Green.
