Ibragim “The Mauler” Ibragimov (10-0) is on of PFL’s top prospects. “The Mauler” has never lost a fight dating back to amateur, seventeen straight times he’s emerged from the cage victorious. The Featherweight looks poised to challenge for the PFL vacant Featherweight championship soon!
Ibragim was born in Buynaksk, Dagestan, Russia in 2004. The city of around 62,000 people is a one-hour drive from Capital Makhachkala. In 2017 when he was 13, the Ibragimov family moved to Manchester, England to pursue better schooling opportunities for their children. Ironically, all four of the Ibragimov boys are on track for successful careers in professional sports. Ibragim is the only MMA fighter in the family. But his three brothers all play soccer for the famed Manchester United’s Academy System.
Ibragim didn’t care much for footy, preferring to use his legs for kicking and throwing up Jiu-Jitsu triangles instead. He began training with Manchester Top Team. After running through the amateur ranks to the tune of seven unblemished wins, he turned pro in just 2021! He sprinted through six opponents en route to the Caged Steel Lightweight Championship. Then he made the jump up to PFL but in the process down 10 lbs. to Featherweight. He has captured four impressive victories dominating all foes in front of him and looks like the next big thing at 145 lbs.
